Career exploration days 2023

Eighth graders and parents take note!

More than 3,300 trainees took their final exams at the IHK Nordwestfalen at the end of January. Our Nico Johannsen is one of them! We are pleased that he has successfully completed his 3.5-year apprenticeship. Now he can call himself a plant mechanic (field of application: plant construction).

For his final exam, Nico chose the “operational job”. Here he chose to assemble two feed pumps with suction sides, as well as build an overflow and drain line for a feed water tank. It is not only the apprentices who benefit from the advantages of the company order. Since the majority of Hagelschuer’s steam boiler systems are equipped with a feedwater vessel, the operational order could be easily integrated into daily workflows. With the help of a parts list and tool list, Nico worked out a detailed job plan in advance. The conscientious preparation and structured approach made it easier for him to subsequently attach the components. This allowed him to reduce the pre-planned time by one hour. Nico carried out the subsequent job inspection together with our training manager Martin Eiersbrock.

Nico is already the ninth apprentice who has successfully completed his final examination as a plant mechanic at Hagelschuer. Of course, we are particularly proud of this! It is a nice tradition and a special recognition of the achievement that Georg Hagelschuer, together with his training manager, takes over the gift presentation and congratulates on behalf of the entire staff.

Training is and remains a matter of the heart at Hagelschuer!

See for yourself.
