Two new steam boiler bodies in hybrid design

The task
AVO Werke August Beisse GmbH is one of the leading specialists for processing spices in Europe. As a long-standing partner, Hagelschuer has already carried out the service work for the maintenance of the plant technology in Belm. The project managers opted for Hagelschuer when planning the new steam supply because they wanted an experienced and local plant manufacturer with industry-specific expertise. In addition, they attached particular importance to a comprehensive after-sales service that would also guaranteerapid on-site damage repair in the event of an emergency.

The complete steam boiler system was installed in a newly built boiler house on the first floor. At the heart of the system are two new steam boiler bodies in hybrid design, each with an output of 3.2 t/h at a safety pressure of 10 bar. In addition to the boiler bodies, the system includes a control and switching system with an integrated GH.Control control unit and an integrated economizer. The downstream flue gas condensers, which utilize the additional waste heat as a stand-alone solution and noticeably increase the overall efficiency, are also part of the system, as are the Full feed water deaeration incl.
4000 l feed water tank with degasser dome and redundant feed pumps. To ensure the prescribed water quality, the system is equipped with pre-filters, a double softening system, a reverse osmosis system and two corrective chemical dosing stations.
The boiler equipment complies with EN-12953 in 72 h BoB operation.
The boiler bodies are equipped with highly efficient LowNox dual firing systems and can be operated with either natural gas or heating oil.
In addition, both boiler bodies are equipped with connection pieces for retrofitting electric flange heaters.
These enable additional power-to-heat use of the steam generation as a supporting base load at a later date.
Thorough planning, comprehensive advice from our experts and the low surcharge for new orders convinced the project managers at AVO. When placing the order, they used directly pre-assembled boiler bodies.
This enabled them to avoid cost-intensive retrofitting.
