However, even during <strong>steam generation<\/strong>, the <strong>concentration of impurities<\/strong> in the boiler increases during the <strong>evaporation process<\/strong>. The <strong>plant control system<\/strong> <strong>monitors the boiler water<\/strong> and initiates the necessary <strong>blowdown<\/strong> <strong>process<\/strong><strong>once or twice a day<\/strong> for approx. two seconds via the blowdown valve.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>100 \u00b0C hot blowdown water<\/strong> is <strong>fed<\/strong> into the blowdown tensioner and collected there. To avoid <strong>damage<\/strong> from <strong>heat in the pipe system<\/strong>, the <strong>blowdown water<\/strong> must be <strong>cooled<\/strong> down before it <strong>can be safely discharged into the sewer system<\/strong>. For this purpose, the <strong>water temperature<\/strong> is measured in the <strong>tank<\/strong> with the <strong>help of thermostats<\/strong>. According to the <strong>preset values<\/strong>, a <strong>solenoid valve<\/strong> regulates the <strong>fresh water supply for cooling to approx. 35 \u00b0C<\/strong>. The <strong>flash steam produced in<\/strong> the flash tank by the fresh water supply is <strong>led outdoors<\/strong> through a <strong>vent pipe<\/strong> via the roof. The <strong>cooled<\/strong> blowdown <strong>water<\/strong> flows through the <strong>pipe into the sewer system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This is how a <strong>blowdown tank or also<\/strong> called blowdown tank, blowdown cooler or mixing cooler works. No matter what you call it, our <strong>experts in<\/strong> the <strong>tank construction department<\/strong> have over <strong>20 years of experience<\/strong> in <strong>tank construction<\/strong> and will take care of the<strong> correct design<\/strong>.
