The CDU mayoral candidate, Carsten H\u00f6vekamp, met Petra Hagelschuer and Georg Hagelschuer for a general discussion and to look at the family-run, medium-sized company, Georg Hagelschuer GmbH & Co. KG in Buldern. He was extremely interested in the explanations from the managing directors and from employee Michael Frerick about\u00a0the company\u2019s development in the last 30 years<\/strong>. The original service company has become a\u00a0system provider for steam and hot water boiler systems<\/strong>\u00a0with a product range that is unique in Germany. From\u00a0planning and design to installation<\/strong>, the company offers customers unique, individual solutions. As\u00a0an employer in the region<\/strong>, Hagelschuer has many interesting, future-proof jobs to offer, which became very clear during the remarks. The number of employees has grown from around thirty in 2010 to almost ninety. This is not just due to the enormous growth but also because Hagelschuer has introduced\u00a0a wide range of benefits for employees<\/strong>\u00a0in recent years. In addition to plus points such as above-average pay, a gym membership (as part of health management) or first aider training, the modern IT equipment also plays an important role.<\/p>

There are even more benefits for apprentices<\/strong>, such as an iPad for the vocational training school. Carsten H\u00f6vekamp listened with interest to the remarks and made specific enquiries as to how Hagelschuer has handled the dearth of specialists.<\/p>

Petra Hagelschuer made her point here: \u201cHagelschuer has been training specialists specifically for our own requirements since 2010. We offer four exciting but very different apprenticeships here. The majority of apprentices are taken on directly into a permanent job.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>

Georg Hagelschuer praised the dedication of the employees responsible for apprentices explicitly but also talked more about his employees: \u201cWe have a super team that got through the crisis brilliantly with us.<\/strong>\u00a0You shouldn\u2019t underestimate the number of areas of application in which steam is required to generate process heat. Industrial and business companies (drinks, food, pharmaceutical, industry, building materials and insulation) rent or buy their systems from us. H\u00f6vekamp was amazed at the high\u00a0market share of around 15 % of all boiler systems installed in Germany<\/strong>, which Hagelschuer delivered.<\/p>

\u201cThis is surely\u201d, he said, \u201cbecause Hagelschuer insists on\u00a0excellent quality combined with careful workmanship<\/strong>\u00a0and that the employees enjoy a first class apprenticeship.\u201d He was able to see this for himself during the tour of the ultra-modern production halls.
