Young talent on the road to success

Mika qualifies for the national ‘Jugend schweißt’

Mika qualifies for the national ‘Jugend schweißt’ competition. We are delighted that our fitter Mika took second place in tungsten inert gas welding (WIG, process 141) at the ‘Jugend schweißt’ regional competition organised by the DVS regional association West.
This means he has qualified for the national competition – a great success!
The competition took place on 11 July 2025 at the SLV Training Centre in Gelsenkirchen. Numerous young welders competed against each other in the four welding processes (electric, MAG, TIG and gas welding) under realistic conditions and time pressure.
In addition to evaluating technical performance, the focus was also on promoting young talent and enthusiasm for the welding trade.
Mika impressed with his precision, technical skills, concentration and strong nerves – qualities that are crucial in the trade.
The grand final at national level will take place from 15 to 17 September 2025 at the leading international trade fair SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen.

Dear Mika, congratulations on this great success – we are proud of you!
All (S)Teamplayers are keeping their fingers crossed for you in the final!
