Our company history
Founded as a one-man business in 1991, Georg Hagelschuer has developed his company into a continuously growing family business in just 30 years. Today, Georg Hagelschuer GmbH & Co. KG and Hagelschuer Rhein Main GmbH & Co. KG cover all services along the value chain in the steam and hot water sector.
Three decades
Since our founding in 1991, we have consistently expanded our range of services as an established system provider for efficient steam supply. Today, our family business with 95 employees at two locations is a reliable and fast supplier of stationary and mobile steam and hot water boiler systems as well as Germany’s largest supplier of rental boilers.
How it all began
…
1991-1995
Start as a one-man operation
1996-1999
First investments in a great future
Things now go from strength to strength. Company founder Georg Hagelschuer invests in the first rental boiler, hires the first employee and manufactures the first mobile energy center. The company begins to grow. The move to a larger hall is announced.
2002-2010
Success drives growth
The following years are characterized by expansion and growth. Eight employees and the construction of a new factory hall with an office building in Buldern are clear signs that the start of the new millennium is a good one for the Hagelschuer family. The area of the factory hall will soon have to be doubled from 1,500 square meters to 3,000 square meters. By the end of the decade, even that will no longer be enough. More space is also needed in the 200 square meter office building.
2011- 2015
While some German plant manufacturers are still struggling with the aftermath of the economic crisis, Hagelschuer is unwavering in its commitment to technical innovation. The service company transforms itself into a plant manufacturer for modular steam boilers.
The company now employs 60 people and has expanded its total area to 10,000 square meters by building three additional bays.
Milestones at this time
2011
Construction of the first steam boiler system with integrated air preheating to reduce fuel consumption and the first combined heat and power plant with gas engine (CHP) and downstream steam boiler
2012
Planning and realization of a waste heat steam boiler with 2 CHP units as CHP solution.
2013
Construction of the first pellet-fired steam boiler plant as a complete energy center.
2014
Construction of the first CHP plants with micro gas turbine and downstream steam generation.
2015
Introduction of SHE management system/ SCC** certification.
