History

From a 1-man service company to a leader in innovation.

OUR COMPANY HISTORY

Founded as a one-man business in 1991, Georg Hagelschuer has turned his company into an ever-growing family business in just 30 years. Nowadays, Georg Hagelschuer GmbH & Co. KG and Hagelschuer Rhein Main GmbH & Co. KG provide all services along the value chain in the steam and hot water sector.

THREE DECADES

We have constantly developed our range of services as an evolved system provider for steam supply since our year of founding in 1991. Nowadays, our family business with 95 employees in two locations is a reliable and fast supplier of stationary and mobile steam and hot water systems, as well as Germany’s biggest supplier of rental boilers.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN…

1991-1995

Started as a one-man business

Georg Hagelschuer GmbH is founded purely as a service company. Just four years later, the one-man business moves into the first 800 square-metre production hall in Dülmen-Hiddingsel.

1996-1999

First investment in a great future

It’s all happening at once. Company founder Georg Hagelschuer invests in the first rental boiler, employs his first employee and produces the first mobile power plant. The company starts to grow. The move to a larger hall is impending.

2002-2010

Success drives growth

The following years are characterised by expansion and growth. Eight employees and the construction of a factory hall with office building in Buldern are clear indicators that a lucky star is shining on the Hagelschuer family at the start of the new millennium. The surface area of the factory hall will soon have to be doubled from 1,500 square metres to 3,000 square metres. Even that would prove insufficient by the end of the decade. More space is also required in the 200 square metre office building.

2011- 2015

While some German system constructors are still suffering the after-effects of the economic crisis, Hagelschuer relies unperturbed on technical innovation. The service company turns into a system constructor for modular steam boilers.

The company now has 60 employees and has expanded its total surface area to 10,000 square metres by building three further assembly bays.

Milestones at this time

2011

Construction of the first steam boiler system with integrated air pre-heating to reduce fuel consumption and the first combined heat and power generator plant with gas motors (CHP) and a downstream steam boiler

2012

Planning and executing a waste heat steam boiler with 2 CHPs as a cogeneration solution.

2013

Construction of the first pellet-fired steam boiler system as complete power plant.

2014

Construction of the first cogeneration systems with micro gas turbine and downstream steam generation.

2015

Introduction of the SGU management system/ SCC** certification.

2016-2017

25 years of Hagelschuer

Georg Hagelschuer GmbH & Co. KG celebrates its 25th anniversary and the takeover of the traditional company Gebrüder Stöckel-Mietkessel secures a second company site close to Darmstadt in the Rhine-Main region.

Implementing steam boiler systems that can also be operated as hot water systems and implementing more than 30 waste heat and cogeneration systems are the technological highlights in the coming years.

The company now employs 70 people and takes over the regional service provider Standard Engineering in Dinslaken. The employees from the new company are taken on.

2018

Georg Hagelschuer GmbH & Co. KG takes over the regional service provider Arno Degenhardt from the Kassel region. In the Rhine-Main region, we move into the new 3,000 square metre hall on the outskirts of Bickenbach.
