Raiffeisen Kraftfutterwerk commissioned Hagelschuer to design an eligible, energy-efficient state-of-the-art steam boiler plant

The existing plant technology was outdated, economically and technically no longer up to date.

The task

For the Kraftfutterwerk – Mittelweser Heide in Twsitringen, Hagelschuer planned, built and installed a state-of-the-art and efficient steam boiler plant. The support and assistance for a successful BAFA/KFW promotion was also provided by Hagelschuer in teamwork with the customer. The expansion of the plant technology partly saddles on the already existing components. Thus, the existing technology did not have to be completely replaced and renewed, but could be efficiently and intelligently brought up to date.

The attachment

The heart of the new steam boiler plant was installed in an adjoining room of the actual boiler house. The new 1650 kg/h / 10 bar steam boiler is equipped with the latest burner technology. The state-of-the-art gas burner complies with all legally prescribed NOx values or even falls below them in some cases. In addition to the boiler body, the newly installed components also include a new switchgear, an integrated economizer, a new 100-liter blowdown system, a complete reverse osmosis system with permeate storage tank and the latest pump technology. The steam boiler plant is designed in such a way that a second boiler can be installed without any problems, e.g. to better cover seasonal peaks in the future or to be able to operate the plant redundantly.

Intelligent and forward-looking planning
